The property is surrounded by farmland which includes crops of corn and rye which attract deer. The property has a history of large bucks taken for hunting. There are six hunting blinds on the property and a food plot. Turkey, duck, and geese are abundant at Orchard Hill and bear hunting is also available. Orchard Hill is within one mile of 57,000 acres of public land for additional hunting.

Log Cabin 200 acre wooded trails/river

Modern log cabin on a hill overlooking open fields with a duck pond, fishing pond, and abundant wildlife. The property has trails winding through the forest, field, over the river and around the ponds. Abundant nature and wildlife for viewing. The trails are ideal for horses (horses welcome), mountain biking, hiking, cross country skiing. Within one mile is 57,000 acres of public land with ORV trails. The newly renovated cabin has electric heat, woodstove (firewood provided), and modern fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy the covered porch and open deck for stargazing (maybe Northern Lights), nature viewing, and relaxing. Sit by the campfire, listen to the quiet, and build memories. Group camping available for family reunions and retreats. In the fall enjoy the fall colors or go hunting. Enjoy the cabin in all seasons. The Upper Peninsula is known for recreation and many day trips are available to see Lake Michigan or Lake Superior and sights between.



Location

Orchard Hill Cabin is located just west of Escanaba and north of Menominee in an area of rolling farmland and forests. You can stay and relax here in your own private nature preserve or take in all the recreation the Upper Peninsula has to offer by taking day trips to visit the beach, lighthouses, museums, and everything the Great Lakes offer. Bark River is known for the Bark River UP Off-road 100 races in July and August. Escanaba is the home of the Upper Peninsula State Fair, Waterfront Art Festival, and many national fishing tournaments. Golf courses and a casino are 6 miles away. The Upper Peninsula also has National Forests, State Parks, and many county and local parks. Bark River Sports Complex has a playground, tennis courts, baseball, basketball courts, and an ice rink (winter). Hunting opportunities at Orchard Hill in the area include, deer, bear, turkey, duck, goose, and small game.
